We’re a little bit weird at the Odd Sock. Odd, some might say.
And so we really, really—like, so much really—appreciate artists doing, making, creating weird things.
So on this blog what we thought we might do is feature an artist every Friday who we think is rocking his or her odd thing.
Today we’ve got a photographer all the way from Slovakia who goes by the name Mária Švarbová.
One of the reasons we thought we’d show off Maria’s work is because it’s so damn dreamy. She’s got this incredible ability to capture in still frames whole, pieced-together images that you might otherwise see only in dreams as scattered fragments and twisted shapes. Dreamy, and just the right amount of creepy.
A project called ‘Hide and Seek’ shows this dynamic she’s able to create between dream/creep perfectly. There are a few pictures from that collection below, but for more go and check out her site.
Anyway. That’s enough words.
Take a look.
