When colour meets aesthetic abstract wonder meets patterned prettiness meets some unifying brain thingy of great assembling power, what you get is an artist lady named Lisa Congdon.
And we wanted to show off her work because just looking at it makes you feel the warm fuzzies inside. Pretty patterns swirling in gentle strokes, seamlessly funnelling one colour into another, splashing one idea into the next… it’s just nice to look at. Pleasant sugar juice for the eyes. Sweet, tingly needle-pins for the soul.
The other reason we wanted to feature Lisa is because she only started painting/drawing when she was 31! How cool is that. Goes to show that it’s never too late to start poking, prodding, and then giving in to your passions and making them something wonderful. No excuses.
Anyway. Here’s a snippet of her work. Enjoy.
